Yesterday I posted a short note on why you should not trust the Main Stream Media. Noting that the bias the news and try to control what you know about in order to help the government control the people. Yesterday’s example was just exposing the simple fact that there could be 200,000 people of all races and sexes and ages at a civil rights protest in Washington DC, on a cold January 22 in mid-winter, and the MSM didn’t even bother to tell you.
Today I will point out an example is far more egregious. Did you know that on January 16, in the name of their god, members of the religion of peace, Islam, burned down 45 churches in one country alone. The lack of the MSM coverage is to the point of negligence
Imagine the MSM coverage if 45 mosques were burned down in Italy, and the excuse was because some no-name Turkish satire magazine printed some derogatory pictures of the pope. Now image the press coverage didn’t interview a single Muslim leader from one of those mosques, nor even a single Muslim who attended one of those mosques. Now Imagine that in the very slight (about 5 total paragraphs between AP and Reuters) to that they quote an Italian Cardinal stressing Catholicism is a religion of peace and that most Catholics didn’t participate (while never condemning the act or the perpetrators). That is exactly what happened only the country was Niger, where Islamists burned down 45 churches because a no-name magazine in France printed derogatory pictures of Muhammad.
Obviously the MSM is trying to divert attention from the truth that doesn’t protect their agenda that multiculturalism will cure all our evils, and that we should ignore the fact that the overwhelming majority of barbaric violence in the world is being committed by Islamists, and that everywhere Islamists become a substantial percentage of the population, violence against Christians and Jews to drive them out or underground happens. It doesn’t matter that most Muslims are peaceable, they do nothing to stop the small number of Muslims who resort to violence against others.
The January 16th burning of 45 Christian Churches by Muslims in a single day in Niger should have been the biggest news after the Charlie Hebdo massacre. Instead the MSM covered it up. More than just being a voice for the state, the MSM is actively hostile to Christianity. Don’t trust the MSM, get your news someplace else.

Don't Trust MSM
by Tom Rhodes, 1/29/2015
You shouldn’t trust the main stream media, that includes Fox. Did you know that in the middle of wither this year 200,000 people showed up in Washington DC for a protest march? None of the major news organizations covered it; zero, zip, zilch, nada. What cause do you think would cause every major news media organization to boycott covering such a huge protest in our nation’s capital? January 22, 2015 200,000 people gathered to protest our government and you know nothing about it? Can you imagine a civil rights march anywhere in the USA of that size and the MSM not covering it?
Mario Lopez, President of the Hispanic Leadership Fund, had this to say about the MSM coverage, "When a massive group of 200,000 Americans of every ethnic, racial, religious, age and economic status peacefully unite for a cause that speaks to perhaps the most fundamental pillar of our society, it is news. Trying to pretend otherwise is irrational, irresponsible, and unprofessional."
If you don’t know what Civil Rights Protest brought nearly a quarter million Americans to Washington DC to protest last week, you should find another source of news. The MSM is biased, they try to dictate what you care about, find alternative sources of news and use them.
The reason you should not trust the MSM is clear, they are trying to direct your thoughts and knowledge, not report the news.

The Hubris of Legacy Media
By Tom Rhodes, 10/2/2013
This morning I read a fluff piece about Dean Baquet, Pulitzer Prize winner and managing editor of The New York Times, who last night spoke at the Foster-Foreman Conference of Distinguished Writers about the changing world of journalism. I choked and coffee spewed out my nose as I read, “It is not my fear that newspapers will die, my only fear is that the craft of witnessing and reporting on the truth will die.” I didn’t believe he had the balls to spout such dribble.
Such hubris and hypocrisy can only come from the New York Times (NYT). The NYT has a long history of covering up the truth and only in their minds are they the “newspaper of record.” The one thing you can count on from the NYT is that they will cover and obfuscate the truth. Here are a few examples of the NYT “exercising the craft of witnessing and reporting on the truth.”
Over a half century ago, while millions of Russians were being purposefully starved to death in the USSR, Holodomor denier and NYT reporter Walter Duranty wrote in the pages of The New York Times that "any report of a famine in Russia is today an exaggeration or malignant propaganda", and that "there is no actual starvation or deaths from starvation.
NYT is synonymous with Jayson Blair who is infamous for both plagiarism and simply making it up
NYT routinely gets caught lying about Iran:
NYT caught lying about Tesla Test Drive.
NY Times Tale of US Soldier Intervention Against Torture is a Lie
NY Times headline reverses chronology, story leaves out important information
NYT's Lies About SF Renters & Housing Construction
New York Times has a history of being caught doctoring quotes.
NYT's admits it's not its job to verify the truth.
The NYT is now the mouth piece for the Whitehouse while WikiLeaks and individuals like Snowden expose corruption in our government.
It was the Drudge Report not the NTY that exposed Clinton for being a philandering womanizer. Since then it is clear that Drudge is now more important and more widely read than the NYT.
Contrary to what the NTY and old guard media would have you believe, Youtube, blogs, and the independent internet press routinely expose more government corruption and more actual news and truth. It is the common non-professional with her phone camera, blog, or independent web site that exercise the craft of witnessing and reporting the truth, not the old grey lady. Want the truth, lookup CopWatch, or read Drudge, or search Fourth Amendment Abuse on Youtube, but don’t bother with the NYT; the old grey lady is a senile old bat who doesn’t realize or understand the truth, she’s already been replaced.
The NYT and legacy media actively try to protect advertisers, big business, and the government. Consider what it means when Reuters, News Corp., The Washington Post and The San Francisco Chronicle all ignored emails from the tipster, an "Internet activist" known as "Weev," about innocuous data exposing a security breach concerning Apple, which affected 114,000 iPad owners (including White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel!). The all ignored it, so Ryan Tate of Gawker, not the “newspaper of record” got the scoop and the story went viral far exceeding the reach of the NYT. LINK
Legacy media and specifically printed newspapers are dinosaurs, their complicity with the government and general lack of credibility make the words of NYT managing editor Dean Baquet ring both hollow and shallow, carrying absolutely no gravitas. Dean Baquet fearing “that the craft of witnessing and reporting on the truth will die,” is reminiscent of Sophocles’ King Creon.

When the Truth Doesn’t fit Reality
By Tom Rhodes, 7/17/2013
The objective truth is that the Media and Obama and the ruling elite don’t give a rat’s ass about the killing of young black men including Travon Martin. The objective truth is that only an eighth of the US population is black but half of all murder victims are black. There’s not a huge outcry because the overwhelming majority of the murderers who kill young black men are other young black men. Even they know that if you try to blame blacks killing blacks on whites you sound absurd. There is significant black on white violence across the country but that too is ignored. The only time there is ever an outcry from the main stream media, Obama, or the ruling elite, is if they can use it to promote the failed leftist notion that there is a white power structure looking to reinstate Jim Crow.
Once the media heard about an unarmed black teen getting shot by what they thought was a guy who was not arrested, and had the last name of Zimmerman, and they could blame a law they hate, stand your ground, they had a field day. Screw the facts this story provided a narrative to promote their statist mantra. A white guy with a Jewish sounding name shot a black guy and didn’t get arrested, it has to be racism. NBC got the 911 tapes and to further their narrative, they selectively edited the tape to make the “white” guy sound racist. The “white” guy turns out to be Hispanic, so the press invents a new race “White Hispanic.” ABC gets the police video, but it too supports the self-defense claim which doesn’t fit the narrative so they publicize a “low resolution” version that makes it look like he wasn’t injured. During the trial a black witness uses clearly racial epithet that has to be explained away. In general the facts didn’t fit the story they wanted to tell, so the press edited, manipulated, and lied to tell the story the wished were true regardless of what was actually true.
Obama opines that if he had a son, his son would be like Travon. We know that both Obama and Travon were dopers, Obama admitted it in his autobiography and drugs were found in Travon’s system. Maybe this explains why evidence of the fact that Travon was a thug who liked to fight, and his criminal history was suppressed and covered up? Maybe Obama is more like Travon than he wants to admit, people whose crimes are covered up by the government because they don’t fit the narrative. You might say “like father like son.”
It is clear that the case was a political tool used to further the narrative that America is a racist country. The media and power elite used this case to demagogue the public and play on their emotions to advance their statist agenda. The facts keep getting in the way, like the reality that America is not a brutal and racist country that needs more government interventionism to end racism; or that white people who believe in judging people by the content of their character not the color of their skin, are not a threat to black success. They ignore the problems in the black community which in our inner cities is murdering itself at third world rates. They ignore the evidence of vast amounts of black on white violence. They look for and grab at the hugely rare incidence of white on black crime, and in this case, actually manufacture white on black crime to further their idea that all people need more government control of their lives, which is the fundamental change to the system Obama and leftists want.
Here are some facts. If you’re white in the USA your chances of being murdered are about as low as any industrialized nation in the world, the reason is cultural. If you’re black in the USA and live in a major US city your chances of being murdered are much higher and look typical of third world murder rates, the reason is cultural. If Obama and the press really cared about the murder of young black men they would be trying to make fundamental changes in the subculture of urban black communities that is murdering itself at third world rates instead of trying to blame it on the part of our culture that isn’t murdering itself at horrific rates. They don’t care, the only thing Obama and progressives care about is concentrating more power in government hands. The Zimmerman case is an excuse to attack individual rights that get in the way of more government power.

US Senator confirms being a sexist bigot - Press applauds sexism.
By Tom Rhodes, 1/9/2012
Speaking about the record number of women in the US Senate, Democrat Senator from California Diane Feinstein said, "We're less on testosterone." She continued telling Diane Sawyer, "We don't have that need to always be confrontational. And I think we're problem solvers, and I think that's what this country needs."
Diane Feinstein clearly stated that she is sexist, believing women are different and better than men. None of that equality crap, her words were clear that she regarded men as different and the traits of women as superior. The press’s treatment of this is clearly a double standard.
What would happen to any man in the US senate told a reporter, "We're less on Estrogen" then continued "We don't have that need to always be conciliatory. And I think we're able to look at things objectively instead of emotionally, and I think that's what this country needs." ???

The Fast and Furious Death of Newspapers
By Tom Rhodes 6/27/2012
Fast and Furious are the last dying struggles of newspapers suffering from self inflicted wounds. Across the nation we see the downsizing and death of newspapers. They have lost and continue to lose their audience and influence. The steady decline of newspapers is not because people don't want in-depth reporting, want ads, or the comics. It's because the newspapers have abandoned their historic past of bringing all the news that's fit to print, to being outlets for the press releases of the government and big business.
The decline in influence and the no longer blind trust of the old guard press has been a long time coming. I remember when I first noticed the blatantly obvious bias in the media. It was the reporting in the newspaper and evening news that didn't match what I saw live from broadcasts of General Swartzkoff during the Gulf War. The reporting on what Swartzkoff said was different that what was actually said. To mitigate that, the press took to editing actual quotes and tapes to fit their bias. Unfortunately with the new media, it is easy to expose the press as biased liars; like the exposure of NBC's repeated and purposefully editing quotes and tapes to dramatically change the meaning of what actually was said or happened. NBC and MSNBC as a news source cannot be trusted to tell the unbiased truth, their diminishing influence reflects this simple fact. In general, the old guard press because of its own actions is losing influence and credibility.
Newspapers would have retained their circulation and power had they displayed skepticism of authority (the government), published, and pursued truth. Instead for decades they have presented one-sided narrative promoting statism and denigrating the values most Americans hold. Like the Gutenberg press dramatically decreased costs and brought newspapers and books to the masses and diminished the power of the Church and State, the digital age has made it so cost effective that anybody who wants can report on what they see. Publishing news is no longer limited to those with the money to afford a press or broadcast facilities. The old guard press, specifically newspapers, are no longer gatekeepers to the news. Virtually everyone carries the ability to video actual events and share them with their neighbors and the world. No longer are the actions of the city council whitewashed and cleaned up by their friends in the press, as the actual truth is now broadcast for all to see. The self evident bias of the news as reported by the old guard has resulted in their death. Their monopoly on the news is dead.
Hillary Clinton said we have too much free press and there should be "gate keepers" to the news. She longs for the days when the press and government were buddy-buddy and determined what the masses were told. Technology, Matt Drudge, and YouTube killed that.
Fast and Furious is the most prominent recent example, and why the main stream media is no longer trusted by the people, and why it is losing its audience and influence. The main stream media tried to ignore Fast and Furious, but the people and non-traditional media exposed it. It's been in the news for years, but when a US House of Representatives Committee votes to hold a cabinet member in contempt, an event that is huge, rare, and important, the old guard press now have to explain to their readers and viewers why they didn't think it was news worthy. Let's face it, in all of US history you can count on your fingers the number of times Congress has held in contempt a member of the president's cabinet. The facts, and truth of Fast and Furious, including the death a of Federal Border Patrol Agent with guns that the BATF and DOJ purposefully allowed to be sold to straw purchasers acting on behave of Mexican drug lords, should have been main stream news for years. The failure of the press to cover this and the DOJ cover-up, confirms to the public that the press is in support of liberal politicians, and is not an unbiased purveyor of truth whose duty is to hold the government accountable.
The old guard press insists that it, not mere everyday people, is the only proper purveyor of "news". Of course all who get their news from the old guard press have been completely ignorant of the deadly scandal, Fast and Furious (kudos to CBS for being the only old guard press to even attempt to cover Fast and Furious, but this is an exception not the norm). Blogs, and news aggregators like Drudge, have proven to be better reports of facts and details of extraordinary events like Fast and Furious than the old guard press.
The old guard press is aghast at the fact that people actually pay attention and believes the "new media". They shouldn't be, as new media has proven over the past 20 years to be better at exposing the misdeeds of government and politicians than the main stream press. The best photos and coverage of the damage to Tampa Bay area caused by Tropical Storm Debby have come from citizen journalists. The old guard press vilifies bloggers, and citizen journalists, but fails to report the truth, and actively works with government to determine what they think the people should be allowed to know. Thus the "new media" is growing and newspapers are dying. Clinton was impeached because "new media" not the old guard press, exposed his philandering ways. Clinton was not impeached because he cheated on his wife screwing around with an intern in the Oval Office; he was impeached for lying to Congress after he was caught and exposed by the new media. If not for the "new media" he would have never been caught. Matt Drudge destroyed the monopoly control the old guard media and the government had on "the news".
The old guard press, specifically news papers, are unconscious of their leftist bias to important events. Fast and Furious is the perfect example, but the bias is in a lot of other stories the press chooses to cover or not cover. Violent racist attacks are now becoming common place in our big cities, the old guard press not only chooses not to cover this, but to deny the obvious facts. Large groups of blacks in our big cities are attacking other races for no other reason than their race. If groups of Asians or whites were doing the same it would be wall to wall coverage every day on every news cast. Even when their own white reporters were drug out of their car and beat by a gang of blacks, an old school newspaper, refused to cover it; and the old school press wonders why they are losing audience and influence. Hundreds of thousands of times every year regular citizens legally and successfully use guns to defend themselves; this is rarely newsworthy to the old guard press. This bias not only in what is covered but how it is covered is blatant, but even when the readers of old guard newspapers say that they no longer read or trust the it because of its bias, the old guard media dismiss it, as the ravings of unenlightened rubes.
Like the good book says "the truth shall set you free", and the main stream press has been exposed and demonstrated that they can no longer be trusted to be the purveyor of the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. The old school press has lost its monopoly on news, and the trust of the people. Because we have Freedom of the Press, the Drudge Report, YouTube, a zillion blogs, are proof that in a free society it is the people, not the government nor the "press", who determine "all the news that's fit to print."
Because we still have a nominally free society, the people can and do get to choose what press they purchase, read, watch, listen, and believe. The people have spoken loudly and clearly; the result is the slow death of old school newspapers and the loss of influence of the old school media due to self inflicted wounds. Old guard media blaming the new media and society for the loss of readership and influence is like a man who gets caught cheating and lying to his wife blaming his Facebook and her because of what she saw on his mistresses FaceBook page rather than her trusting him to filter the information she sees. Like the cheating spouse who has been caught the consequences to old guard main stream press are the same, and even if forgiven and not divorced; the liar and cheat may be listened to but his word will always be suspect and have to be verified, because he has proven to be untrustworthy. Only the elimination of bias, true scrutiny of the government, and honest reporting for a long time can return the reputation of the main stream media, it will however never again be taken at its word without independent verification by the we the people.

Politifact Loses All Credibility.
Without using even a single outside source it is clear that Politifact has lot's it's credibility.
In claiming that the statement health care reform law a "government takeover" is a lie they clearly have to stretch the meaning of a lie and government takeover.
Here's what they said:
To Politifact if the government doesn't own hospitals, clinics, and medical practices they haven't taken them over. They even admit that the Obamacare has the "same effect" as a government takeover, but because they don't actually "own" the physical property they haven't taken over health care.
Since when has taking over something equated to owning something. Lots of bullies have taken over a playground without owning the property. Nobody would argue that TSA hasn't taken over control of airport security without actually owning the airports.
Obviously the credibility of Politifact as a source to determine if a politician in telling the truth or not has been dramatically compromised. Politifact has lost its credibility, and cannot be trusted, especially if the subject in question concerns Obama and his policies.

Here's what they said:
When government determines the limits of insurance coverage and medical fees and patient treatment through price controls, that's not a government takeover of health care. It may feel like one, it may have the same effect as one, but the federal government doesn't actually own the hospitals, clinics and medical practices. It just controls their prices and policies by controlling health insurance. Ergo, any talk of a government takeover of health care is not just wrong but a lie. Indeed, the biggest lie of the year.

Conservative VS Liberal Rallies in DC
The press is conflicted about which of the recent rallies in DC at the Mall had more support.
It's pretty clear.

If you have read any news that states any view other than there was massivly more support for the conservative rally in Sept vs the Liberal Rally Yesterday, then that news source is either really really stupid or run by a liar. You pick.
(correction - rally from 10/1/2010 is not associated with John Stewart's rally scheduled for 10/30/2010 )

Snitker Strikes Back Against NBC Debate Snub
TAMPA – Libertarian U.S. Senate candidate Alex Snitker did not make the cut to be included in the nationally-televised debate scheduled this Sunday on NBC’s Meet The Press. According to NBC, Snitker did not meet their criteria for inclusion in the debate for Florida’s Senate seat, however they did not elaborate on what the exact criteria are.
Snitker, who has earned a reputation as the feisty, grassroots underdog in this race, did not take NBC’s snub lying down. Within hours of getting word that he would be excluded, the former U.S. Marine launched a fund raising drive for the purpose of buying television ad slots during Meet The Press in Florida television markets.
According to Adrian Wyllie, the campaign media director, the ad will run in several Florida markets during the Sunday show, and will claim that the debate is a “travesty of the democratic process.” Though the ad has been produced and the stations have been paid for the air time, the campaign has not yet received confirmation from the affiliates that it will air.
Snitker supporters are also planning protests outside of NBC affiliate stations in several cities across the state on Sunday. Volunteer coordinator Bev Baker said, “Even people who would not normally get involved have contacted us wanting to do something about this. They see it as an assault on free speech by the media, of all people.”
In addition, Snitker’s legal councel is planning to file an emergency motion for temporary injunction against Meet The Press in a last-ditch effort to be included in the debate. Should the injunction be granted by a judge, the debate may not air at all. Wyllie noted that further legal action may be taken if the NBC affiliates reject the TV ads.
Ilana Drimmer, the booker for Meet The Press, has said that her email inbox has been flooded with messages from Snitker supporters requesting that he be included in the debate. However, thus far, NBC has held their ground and has limited to the debate to Marco Rubio (R), Kendrick Meek (D) and Charlie Crist (NPA). Crist, however, has decided to decline the invitation.
“We are just looking for a level playing field and to have the same opportunity as the other candidates to debate this issues,” said Snitker

The Emperor Has No Clothes
The Emperor Has No Clothes is the famous fable by Hans Christian Andersen about an emperor who unwittingly hires two swindlers to create a new suit of clothes for him.
The basic plot is that an emperor of a prosperous city-state who cares more about clothes and looks than running his city-state. He hires two swindlers who promise him the finest suit of clothes from the most beautiful cloth. This cloth, they tell him, is invisible to anyone who was either stupid or unfit for his position. The Emperor cannot see the (non-existent) cloth, but pretends that he can for fear of appearing stupid; his ministers do the same. When the swindlers report that the suit is finished, they dress him in mime. The Emperor then goes on a procession through the capital showing off his new "clothes". During the course of the procession, a small child cries out, "But he has nothing on!" The crowd realizes the child is telling the truth. The Emperor, however, holds his head high and continues the procession.
The difference between this Danish fable and today's reality is, that today when someone points out that the emperor has no clothes, the emperor his ministers and the press attack him as a "denier" trying to keep the people from seeing the obvious.
Alan Carlin a senior analyst in the EPA's National Center for Environmental Economics and a 35-year veteran of the agency, submitted a 98-page analysis arguing the agency should take another look at the science behind man-made climate change because the evidence was "inconclusive at best." The "Transparent" Obama administration has tried to bury this, and have been caught.
Unable to defend the EPA's actions, anonymous EPA officials are doing what they does best: ad hominid attacks on Mr. Carlin, decrying him as a "denier." The EPA tells us he is, "only" an economist, but the fact is that Carlin holds a degree in physics from CalTech. The EPA says that his study was full of sham science, but the fact is tThe majority of the science is from peer-reviewed studies. The EPA says it isn’t his responsibility to look at this issue, but the fact is that he works in an office tasked with "informing important policy decisions with sound economics and other sciences."
Because the Obama EPA's endangerment finding is a policy act, the EPA is required to make public those agency documents that pertain to the decision, to allow for public comment. Court rulings say rulemaking records must include both "the evidence relied upon and the evidence discarded." By not allowing Alan Carlin’s study to be circulated the Obama EPA has hidden the evidence from the people and decision makers. He, through the EPA, lied by omission. How does this sit with his April 2009 statement saying "the days of science taking a backseat to ideology are over." Hardly the “transparency in Government” he has promised.
It’s not one child that is calling the townspeople to notice that the emperor has no clothes, it is the brightest and best scientists of the world. Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe now counts more than 700 scientists who disagree with the U.N. -- 13 times the number who authored the U.N.'s 2007 climate summary for policymakers. Princeton's Will Happer is leading a group of 54 noted physicists who are demanding the American Physical Society revise its position that the science is settled. Both Nature and Science magazines have refused to run the physicists' open letter. The world's first woman to receive a Ph.D. in meteorology, Joanne Simpson, expressed relief upon her retirement last year that she was finally free to speak "frankly" of her non-belief. Japanese environmental physical chemist, Dr. Kiminori Itoh, a contributor to a U.N. climate report, declared that man-made warming is "the worst scientific scandal in history." Man Made Global Warming is the "new religion" according to Norway's Ivar Giaever, Nobel Prize winner for physics.
To quote Kim Strassel‘s recent WSJ article. "The collapse of the "consensus" has been driven by reality. The inconvenient truth is that the earth's temperatures have flat-lined since 2001, despite growing concentrations of C02. Peer-reviewed research has debunked doomsday scenarios about the polar ice caps, hurricanes, malaria, extinctions, rising oceans. A global financial crisis has politicians taking a harder look at the science that would require them to hamstring their economies to rein in carbon. " It’s about Power not science. Obama and the Press want to ram Cap-and-Trade down our throats before we notice that the science doesn’t support their position.
The child is pointing out "Man Made Global Warming is a Lie". When will the crowd recognize the truth?

Being a Man - politically incorrect right now
It's the 30th anniversary of John Wayne's death. Not a lot of men like this in the media anymore, not sure our current media would allow them. Although he played a variety of characters in the movies he is best known and will always be thought of as a Cowboy with uncompromising values. I a sense a man's man. Although considered a right wing extremist, his quotes have espoused values are definitely more libertarian than conservative.
John Wayne Quotes:
Good guys vs Bad guys and a big battle to determine the winner, with no trouble telling which is which. Morality plays, even his non westerns were westerns. No moral nuances in his movies, and no regret at all. They were definitely not pity parties.
His movies expressed libertarian values not psychobablebullshit. You never saw the Duke trying to get in with his inner child. You did see him standing up for principles and protecting those rights for others.
30 years since his death and his last movie, The Shootist. His movies are still loved by virtually everybody, and still criticized and hated by socialists and liberals who just don't get it and think that they should control others who don't make the decisions they would make.
I'll close with my favorite John Wayne Quote, from the Shootist:
John Wayne Quotes:
- I don't give jobs, I hire men.
- Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid.
- somewhat troubled by the absence of a consistent policy governing our willingness to permit the President to participate in these private, commercial tributes . . . .
- I have found a certain type calls himself a liberal . . . Now I always thought I was a liberal. I came up terribly surprised one time when I found out that I was a right-wing conservative extremist, when I listened to everybody's point of view that I ever met, and then decided how I should feel. But this so-called new liberal group, Jesus, they never listen to your point of view . .
- High Noon (1952) was the most un-American thing I have ever seen in my whole life. The last thing in the picture is ol' Coop [Gary Cooper] putting the United States marshal's badge under his foot and stepping on it. I'll never regret having run [screenwriter Carl Foreman] out of this country.
- I'm not going to give you those I-was-a-poor-boy-and-I-pulled-myself-up-by-my-bootstraps-stories, but I've gone without a meal or two in my lifetime, and I still don't expect the government to turn over any of its territory to me. Hard times aren't something I can blame my fellow citizens for. Years ago, I didn't have all the opportunities, either. But you can't whine and bellyache 'cause somebody else got a good break and you didn't, like these Indians are. We'll all be on a reservation soon if the socialists keep subsidizing groups like them with our tax money.
- Sure I wave the American flag. Do you know a better flag to wave? Sure I love my country with all her faults. I'm not ashamed of that, never have been, never will be.
- I've known Jane Fonda since she was a little girl. I've never agreed with a word she's said, but would give my life defending her right to say it.
Good guys vs Bad guys and a big battle to determine the winner, with no trouble telling which is which. Morality plays, even his non westerns were westerns. No moral nuances in his movies, and no regret at all. They were definitely not pity parties.
